I'm primarily focused on how CI/CD can be brought into the modern age: configuration-as-code, serverless and containerized solutions for building, testing, and deploying software, self-service everything, and rethinking best practices. I'm very interested in Kubernetes, cutting-edge virtualization technologies, and serverless computing; I'm trying to expand my knowledge to bring some of these ideas back to ViaSat to increase our software quality and reduce our operational overhead. I primarily work with teams that run on OpenStack and baremetal VMs, so most of my experience and focus is directed towards those use cases.
